Here's the entirety of my haul, all cleaned up and neatly stacked. It isn't precisely a Piggy Pile here, but it definitely was in the garage when I unloaded the car. Besides, you don't want to have a REAL Piggy Pile with breakables. All of these treasures should make their way into future posts, once the perfect landing spot is found. One of my favorite finds is the globe - it has a secret I'll share with you someday soon.
The fish on the plate came from a wind chime that had seen better days. Translation: it was broken.
Some items are chipped - note the birdhouse cookie jar. and the purple pillow on the chair teapot. I was able to repair them with craft paint topped off with a layer of clear nail polish. How cool is that Laurel Burch bowl?!?!?!
NOT Fiesta Ware, but I don't care! Pretty!!
I know the dress is from the 1950s- the seller was 61 years old and it was a dress from one of her dolls.
That's a flour sifter on the left. Those decals remind me of a pancake cozy we made in our first-grade classroom. Take a coffee can, paint it the colors of your kitchen, apply decals, add a knob, slip over your stack of pancakes to keep them warm. (I hope there wasn't any lead in that paint!!!) I think the reason I remember it so well is because of the color discussion I had with my teacher. She simply wouldn't believe that our kitchen was red and yellow (picture ketchup and mustard and you're spot on). I never thought anything of it until she had her adverse reaction. In our defense, it was originally our grandfather's house. He was from Texas and it was he who painted the kitchen. They like bright colors down there!
Ahhh!
