Pretty Cold

With the wind chill making it so cold that flesh can freeze in minutes, we all thought it would be a good day to stay inside and admire the prettiness that the cold can make.

 Sun just starting to come up.

Thin vertical ice has beautiful detail that is missing from the sidewalk ice that you slip on.

Looks like mouse tracks, but they're not.

This pattern is mimicking the tree branches just beyond.

 

And this one looks just like an ironing board.

Two hours after I took these pictures, the pretty ice was gone, but not the cold.
